We are a posting website for "Household" needs!

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to strengthen individuals, families and households who are struggling economically by using our website to match their needs with prospective donors.

Vision Statement:

Our vision is to become a reputable website-based charity that serves people who are experiencing challenging life situations with a spirit of excellence. We intend to be as our motto states "People Helping People" as we connect Donees with Donors".

According to a recent MSNBC & Foreclosure Business News article, 1.2 million Illinois residents lost their homes in 2010 (Schoen, John W. 1.2 million households lost to recession. MSNBC, n.d. Apr. 2011.) and "Feeding Illinois" (formerly the Illinois Food Bank Association) reports that 1,532,238 people, including 500,000 children, are currently living below the Federal Poverty Line in Illinois ($22,050 for a family of four)(n.p. Snap Facts. Feeding Illinois, n.d. Apr.2011). This is not the American dream!

Illinois Blessing, NFP (a 501(c)(3) Organizations) was created to offer short-term, yet meaningful, financial support to US residents who have been hit hard during these historically tough economic times. Our passion is to provide individuals and families with hope for the future.

The "old fashioned" approach of "People Helping People."

We accept anonymous donation and each request for assistance undergoes a thorough background check. (Vendors will be paid directly, and no funds will be given to the donees.) Making a mortgage payment to a bank, paying a food bill to a grocery store or buying diapers may not seem like much, but it can make a huge difference in the lives of those who desperately need financial assistance in order to stay out of debt or avoid financial problems.

  • *We offer a "need" verification service. We guarantee to our donors that people who are requesting assistance, their need are legitimate. After verification, our organization ensures that all money goes directly to vendors (i.e., utilities and mortgage companies) and not to individual or household requesting help. Our desire is to prevent fraud and insure our donors that their donations are meeting legitimate needs. We offer confidentiality and honesty.
  • *All donation goes where the person needs help!

  • *Each donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
